BDSM - Another common catch-all term that has much the same use as WIITWD. It stands for Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, Sadism & Masochism.
BONDAGE - The practice of restraining your victim.
CANES - Long, thin rods with straight handles.
CBT - This is an acronym for COCK AND BALL TORTURE.
COLLAR - A neck piece resembling a dog collar. Frequently they have a lock on the back and D-RINGS for attaching a leash.
CROPS - A whip with a hard shaft and a flat piece of leather at the end. Generally the leather piece is used to make contact, not the shaft.

PADDLES - Usually made of wood or leather, a paddle has a handle with a flat area for proper spanking.

S & M - Besides being a general term to identify the lifestyle this term can also be used to denote the physical activity of giving and receiving pain.

WIITWD - An acronym that stands for "what it is that we do". Due to the complexities of this lifestyle it is in very common use as a non-specific term for lifestyle activities.
X-FRAME (also: St. Andrews Cross) - Pretty much what it sounds like. It is a large piece of furniture that is x-shaped, sometimes with a wooden base, sometimes just nailed or otherwise fastened to a wall. The SUBMISSIVE/BOTTOM can then be stood up against it and bound to it through the conveniently placed eyebolts in the appropriate places.
